Parent Project

Are you having challenges with school performance, talking back, truancy, and screen time? Fruitvale is offering a highly effective parenting class called Parent Project to families and using the Loving Solutions curriculum.  It helps guardians navigate parenting challenges through strategies and folding in child development concepts.  Taught by our certified counselors and school social worker, it is for children in grades TK - 8th grade. Dinner and daycare provided.

California Healthy Kids Survey

Fifth, sixth, and seventh grade students will take part in our school’s California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), sponsored by the California Department of Education. This is a very important survey that will help promote better health and well-being among our youth, improve the school learning environment, and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence. About Us

The Fruitvale School District is located in northwest Bakersfield. Founded in 1895, the District includes Columbia Elementary, Discovery Elementary, Endeavour Elementary, Quailwood Elementary and Fruitvale Junior High Schools, and has a current TK-grade 8 enrollment of 3,062 students.
